This educational project, jointly carried out by Ile-de-France Region in France and the Helsinki Education Department, has an ambitious goal: to increase the motivation of pupils.

The project is called “Hi-Step, Pupils’ European Partnership”.

We want to give more opportunities to young people who have few chances of travelling, encourage European citizens to work together and build relationships between secondary schools. Our hope is that those involved will benefit from their school experience and professional development

Here’s where Hi-Step comes along. It is all about tools for cooperation one of which is this Wiki platform. Eventually, this joint venture will make it easier for pupils to make the mental and practical preparations for their stay in a foreign country. It will evolve step by step as more young people take part in the exchange.

A guide is also provided. It will help to ease the pupils’ uncertainties and fears arising from a stay abroad.

Regards Croisés (Exchanged Glances) is an opening for international cooperation between schools. The idea is to arouse discussion – exchange of ideas – in which the physical boundaries of the countries do not represent obstacles. The films that have been made during the project and the materials relating to them have been collated on this website.
